Always Fresh started as a Fruit Stand at the corner of Five Forks Trickum and Rockbridge Road and was moved indoors with the vision of being a Neighborhood Market where you could get fresh produce and locally made breads, desserts and canned jams and jellies. The owner, Joel Guldenschuh, had to quickly rethink his business model if he didn't want to go under which is why he started taking the produce that wasn't selling and making vegetable soup and giving it away to customers. Thankfully the community loved what he cooked and slowly the business grew, changing gradually over time from a Market to a Restaurant. You can still see those roots when you come in the restaurant today, over 14 years later, in the produce purchased several times a week from the state farmers market and from local farmers, when in season. The restaurant still sells canned goods and locally made cakes and cookies from Sweet Memories Bakery in Between, GA. The restaurant side has grown over the years and

Those of you that read my reviews know that I am real big on where the locals eat. Those Hometown places that stand the test of time.. Those places where the local church group meets for breakfast every month or some friends get together for lunch or a couple gets together for a nice dinner. Well in my home of Lilburn Georgia there is one of those Hometown places and it's called Always fresh Neighborhood Market. Now across the street from their original location on Five Forks Trickum Road, always fresh is exactly what their name implies. Fresh home-cooked southern comfort food I mean it goes beyond the Meat and three or the meat + 2. Great food great atmosphere great desserts and did I mention you get to eat free on your birthday? Which is what I did today! If you find yourself in Lilburn and you want a good hot solid home cook meal that you'll remember, come to always fresh Neighborhood Market

Great updated space. I ordered baked chixken, broccoli casserole and cabbage casserole. Fast service, chicken was a bit dry. Tasted good. Casseroles were awesome. Cornbread muffin almost inedible. Very hard. Yeast roll, yummy.
